Community and Character, Inspiration and Innovation
Inside and outside the classroom, on our campuses and around the globe, Leffell School students are inspired to challenge themselves intellectually, to nurture their passions and talents, and to chart their own paths toward full immersion in the Jewish community and full immersion in the modern world.
Academic Excellence
From kindergarten through high school, we offer a rich array of courses at a variety of levels, preparing students to continue our graduates' strong record of success in the nation's top universities. The academic program offers enrichment opportunities for advanced learners and a robust network of learning support structures.
Engineering and Design
From the time they are in the Lower School, our students are taught to tinker and build, work collaboratively, and solve problems with creativity and fearlessness. The capstone is our nationally recognized High School program in Engineering and Entrepreneurship, which sends over 40% of its graduates to college programs in engineering or computer science and has inspired several alumni to pursue United States patents for their inventions.
Joyful Judaism and Love of Israel
The Leffell School environment is characterized by an all-encompassing ethos of traditional, joyful Jewish practice. Engaging text study in the classroom promotes deep Judaic literacy, while memorable holiday celebrations and Jewish experiences shape the course of our students' lives. Thoughtful curricular integration ensures that the same crucial values and academic skills are reinforced in both general and Judaic studies courses. Love of the people, language, and State of Israel pervades every element in our program, culminating in the trip of a lifetime: the eight-week senior Lev v'Nefesh (Heart and Soul) experience in Poland and Israel.
