Max Wein (Class of 2009)

Max Wein was a two-sport athlete – playing soccer and basketball – and a two-time Schechter Westchester Athlete of the Year. He earned All-Section honors in soccer and All-Conference honors in basketball. He is the school basketball program’s all-time leader in rebounds and blocks, and he was named to the Jewish Hoops America first team in 2009. Max continued his basketball career at NYU, where he was a four-year varsity player and captain. Max was inducted into the Leffell School/Schechter Westchester Athletics Hall of Fame in 2024.
