Leffell Space Program Receives ARDC Grant

We are thrilled to share the exciting news that The Leffell School has been awarded a generous grant from the Amateur Radio Digital Communications (ARDC) Foundation to support the next phase of our Leffell Space Education program.

The ARDC grant will enable us to construct a ground station on our campus, which will be the hub of communication with the various craft that the students build and launch. In the ground station, they will study radio communication and antenna design and engage in simulations designed to prepare them to construct the CubeSat. Students will have the opportunity to become licensed in radio operations, and they will be able to use the ground station’s equipment to communicate with radio operators around the world — and even with astronauts aboard the International Space Station.

Mazal tov to Mr. Idan, Director of Engineering and Design Dr. Danny Aviv, and the entire E2 team for securing this grant! We look forward to keeping you posted on the progress of this exciting project in the months and years to come.
