Stacey Wechsler is a dedicated community leader and Vice President of the Leffell School’s Executive Committee. After graduating from New Rochelle High School and Emory University, she transitioned from a successful career in sales to high-impact volunteer leadership at The Leffell School and beyond. Stacey and her husband Stu are proud parents to Henry (Class of 2020), Stephanie (Class of 2022), Russell (Class of 2024), and Ilana (Class of 2026).
Stacey’s deep commitment to The Leffell School began in 2008 when Henry entered kindergarten. Over the following 18 years, she took on increasingly vital leadership roles, serving as a class parent, co-chair of both the Parent Liaison Committee and the Mishloach Manot program, and chair of the Lower School play. After serving three years on the PTO Board, she was elected PTO President in 2013. During her tenure, she spearheaded the redesign and refurnishing of the kindergarten classrooms and collaborated with Rabbi Pell to revitalize the Lower School Media Center.
A mainstay of the Development Committee for over 10 years, Stacey led the Foundations subcommittee and served on the Events subcommittee before being named Development Committee Chair in 2020. She has also been an essential partner to the Office of Institutional Advancement, capturing school life through photography and compiling end-of-year slideshows for the Lower School. Her outreach efforts as a Parent Ambassador for both the Lower and Upper Schools have been instrumental in driving student retention and attracting new families to the High School.
Stacey’s leadership extends throughout the Westchester community. She was a founding member of Gilda’s Club of Westchester’s Junior Council, where she organized their B’nai Mitzvah program and chaired their annual fundraiser and silent auction for many years. More recently, following a 2024 Leffell School parent mission to Israel, Stacey joined the board of the American Friends of The Ariel Center. She is currently driving awareness and fundraising efforts as the organization prepares for opening their center in Spring 2026.
A Trustee of The Leffell School for ten years, Stacey is currently serving her second term as Vice President of the Executive Committee. She recently co-chaired the Annual Gala and has spent the last two years leading alumni parent engagement efforts. With her youngest child graduating this June, Stacey remains dedicated to ensuring a vibrant, lasting connection to the school community she has helped build.
