The Rabbinic Revolution

This course introduces students to the revolutionary innovations of the first generations of rabbis, through the study of passages in Masechet Brachot, Seder Moed, and Seder Nezikin. Students develop core Mishnah text and analytical skills and engage in intensive study of selected passages of Gemara, building the language and critical-thinking skills necessary for studying the Talmud. Offered at the following levels:

Akiva Talmud (designed for students new to Jewish day school)
