Rachel Lebwohl
Director of Technology
Rachel Lebwohl serves as the director of technology of The Leffell School. Prior to joining The Leffell School in August 2021, Rachel worked as a solution architect for NYU Langone Health for almost twenty years, where she provided hands-on technical and product strategic leadership to clinical researchers building digital tools, managed multiple agile product development teams, and delivered dozens of digital solutions for business process improvements across a wide variety of hospital operations. She holds an undergraduate degree in computer science from Harvard College. She is obsessed with continuous improvement and service design, and she has lifelong interests in cognitive science, social psychology, and learning science. Rachel has a deep appreciation for algorithms and analytics, but a deeper appreciation for the complexities of the human mind. As the digital landscape has shifted around us, she has provided thought leadership to The Leffell School community around digital well-being, intentional use of technology, and readying our learners to thrive in the age of AI. She is a pragmatic dreamer, an avid reader, and a servant leader who is constitutionally incapable of sitting idly by while there are problems to be solved. She lives in White Plains, New York, with her husband and three children.
