Yael is dedicated to building community and fostering meaningful connections across generations. At The Leffell School, Yael is actively involved as PTO Lower School VP, where she works to create an engaged and welcoming environment for students, teachers, and families. She also serves on both the Swag Committee and the Outreach Committee, helping to enhance school spirit and deepen community engagement. Yael was also a co-chair of the Annual Gala for three years, and her creativity and organization helped bring to life Shake Rattle & Roll, The Roaring Twenties, and Take Me to Tel Aviv.

At her synagogue, Bet Torah, Yael serves as a gala chair and board member, and organizes the distribution of new baby bags for families through the Caring Committee.

Beyond her synagogue and school, Yael is a member of the UJA Westchester Advisory Committee, supporting initiatives that enrich the local Jewish community. She became a board member at the Marion and Aaron Gural JCC in Cedarhurst, where her father, Mark Ramer z"l, was an active leader, continuing his legacy of chesed. She helps coordinate a variety of meaningful programs including organizing holiday meal distributions for Holocaust survivors and planning a Chanukah gathering for single-parent families.

In addition to her leadership roles, Yael founded and runs Share Shabbat, a program that connects volunteers with Holocaust survivors to deliver monthly Shabbat meals, share stories, and build meaningful relationships. She also organizes holiday meal deliveries for survivors across Westchester, ensuring they feel remembered and cared for.

Through all of these efforts, Yael remains committed to nurturing connections within the community and ensuring that support reaches those who need it most. She lives in Armonk with her loving and supportive husband, Adam, their three children, Jack (Grade 4), Teddy (Grade 2), and Sophie (age 2), and their morkie, Harley.
