Dr. Aliza Boim

Seventh-Grade Dean
Aliza Boim brings 10+ years experience in the mental health field to Leffell as the Middle School’s seventh-grade dean. Having worked with individuals, groups, and families in a variety of settings including private practice, hospitals, a college counseling center, and day camp, Dr. Boim comes to our school with extensive mental health and programming experience. Prior to joining Leffell in 2022, Dr. Boim served as director of programming and education at UWS Therapy Group, where she enjoyed developing curricula, teaching courses, and facilitating skills groups. As a member of the Ramah Nyack Camper Care Team, she helped support the mental, social, and behavioral needs of campers and staff. She has built her practice on partnering with others — parents, colleagues, and outside therapists when necessary — and is excited to continue working with the Middle School teachers, administrators, and other mental health professionals to help students grow and learn. Dr. Boim grew up in Long Branch, New Jersey attending Jewish day school and summer camps. She holds doctorate and masters degrees in clinical psychology from The Ferkauf Graduate School of Clinical Psychology and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Boim lives in White Plains with her husband and three children.
