Dr. Bill Blank

Psychologist
William Blank, PsyD, earned his doctorate in school/clinical/child  psychology from Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of  Psychology. For several years Dr. Blank worked at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn as a psychologist in their outpatient mental health clinic, where he spent much of his time with patients who were struggling after the attacks on September 11, 2001. He also worked with patients and families who were adjusting to life after a stroke, serious injury, or amputation. In addition, he was the chief psychologist in the bariatric surgery unit, working with patients both before and after weight loss surgery. In the next phase of his career, Dr. Blank worked as a school psychologist for the Westport Public Schools in Connecticut. Honored to be one of about 50 psychologists nationwide asked to present a workshop at the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) annual convention in New Orleans in 2007, Dr. Blank presented on the use of cognitive-behavioral therapy in schools. In addition to his duties at The Leffell School, Dr. Blank spent eight years as an adjunct professor at Connecticut’s Fairfield University where he taught a graduate-level course on psychotherapeutic techniques for school-age youth to school psychologists in training. Dr. Blank also works in private practice as part of The Riverwalk Group in Stamford, Connecticut.
