Sarit Nevo

MS PALS Hebrew Teacher
Sarit, beginning her 14th year of teaching, was born and raised in Israel in the city of Netanya. Sarit completed her BA with Honors in special education and mathematics at the Seminar Hakibbutzim College of Education. Sarit’s teaching career includes educating children in grades 1-8, coordinating math studies and technology, and leading the program “Healthy Way of Life” in schools in Israel. Sarit moved to Westchester two years ago from Israel when she began teaching Hebrew at Carmel Academy in Greenwich, Connecticut. Sarit’s core belief is that a student who feels loved, safe, and protected will work hard to achieve academically and socially. She also believes that her students are unique in their needs and aspirations, and she ensures that their learning experience reflects those differences. In her teaching, Sarit provides positive reinforcement, empowerment, encouragement, personal attention, and respect on her students’ journeys. Sarit is married to Lior (whom she met in kindergarten!) and is a mother to two amazing daughters who attend the Leffell Lower School.
