Mazal tov to the Kaye Family!

For the LVN students at Agron in Jerusalem, which at this point is all but a few of our seniors in Israel, this morning and this evening each had its own very different focus. This morning’s focus was, in a word, joy.

For Marc and his wife Miriam, it seemed that there would be no way to celebrate Be’eri’s Bar Mitzvah. Until Marc had an idea – what if the venue was changed to the shul at Agron and the space on -3, with any family that was able to attend doing so, and with the students of LVN providing the kehilah within which Be’eri could read Torah and be celebrated. And what a celebration it was! The pictures and videos made me tear up watching from afar, so I can only imagine how special and emotional it was in person. Mazal tov to Be’eri, thank you to our students for being an incredible community for Marc’s family and for each other, and thank you to Marc and Miriam for, as Morah Lori Abecassis put it, giving our kids a reason and opportunity to bring simcha and joy.
